The Forrest Yoga Continuing Education for Teachers is a 5-day teacher training that promote powerful insights providing deeper integration with one’s true self and helps teachers to become a more skillful, passionate, intelligent and authentic teacher, so you are better equipped to deal with any challenges your student may have. Teaching authentically is much more effective and compelling for both you and your students.
Teachers aspiring to improve their teaching and personal practice and those that are ready to move deeper within themselves and increase the mental acuity needed to explore the rich tapestry of Forrest Yoga. A minimum number of years of teaching experience is not required. We expect you to have the willingness, health and strength to commit to 100% of this teacher training. You will receive a letter of completion only upon 100% completion of the teacher training.
Taught by Ana Forrest over 5-days, the objective of this teacher training is to encourage trainees to develop as individuals as well as to make you a more skilled, intelligent and authentic teacher. Awareness is a vital component when developing the skills necessary to teach from your own found truths. Through daily meditation, intensives and group instruction, trainees begin to discover the voice of their own Spirit, which leads to a truly authentic life path.
Meditation and Intensives
Each day starts off with a ceremony involving chanting, drumming and meditation to set the intent for the day and create the space for healing and connection to your Spirit, followed by a 2-hour intensive that will create a heightened sense of physical, emotional and spiritual awareness while challenging every muscle and cell in your body. Through a carefully sequenced Forrest Yoga asanas, Ana will open you to amazing depths and feelings of awareness. You will leave feeling cleansed, refreshed and alive. The intensives are a sanctuary where you can feel safe to open up, work through issues that may arise and go beyond your perceived limitations. You will learn about yourself and feel what it is like to have freedom in your own body and mind. The intensives are sure to bring each trainee to new levels within their yoga practice. Injuries and special needs are addressed so that each trainee experiences these classes as part of his or her own healing practice.
The afternoon sessions encompasses 4-hour sessions of training and instruction. Using skill-building exercises, trainees will work with the essential elements of teaching, such as: class sequencing, explore optimal personal nutrition, work with sadhanas (spiritual exercises), learn about personal and professional ethics, effective pose sequencing, the use of safe and effective hands-on adjustments, and effective clear, concise and powerful communication, eliminating mind-dulling habitual phrases, and tone of voice as well as the continued development of a more charismatic presence and honesty in your class.

Who is this training for?
This 5 Day training is designed for any style yoga 200 hrs teacher training teachers to learn to guide students to unlock tension in poses and use of breath to feel actual shifts inside. This course is also open to faithful yoga practitioners who want to learn how to assist themselves to delve deeper in practice. Especially suited for those wanting to deepen assisting skills. Learn injury prevention from repetitive yoga movements and how to guide structure alignment to avoid compression of spine and joints and improve body and breath awareness in practice.

This training will deepen understanding of structural balance in practice and how to touch students and clients in a healthy way. You will learn and practice guiding techniques how to unlock tension in the body which helps deeper breath in poses and increased neuromuscular connection – learn to move with less struggle and more awareness!
